Mike Hanzuk didn't find his way into business coaching from a highlight reel. He found it through the kind of hard-earned experience that only comes from building something significant, watching it break under the weight of its own success, and rebuilding it with the systems that should have been there from the beginning.

That journey — from founder to operator to fractional COO — is the foundation everything at New Mindset Movement is built on. Not theory. Not a certification that preceded the experience. Lived operational reality that most coaches have never actually stood inside.

Over the course of his career Mike has built businesses from the ground up, held equity partnerships across multiple industries, led teams, managed operational infrastructure at scale, and sat in the seat that his clients now occupy — the one where the business is growing but somehow the owner feels more trapped than free. He knows that seat intimately. Which is exactly why he knows how to get people out of it.

His work spans the full operational spectrum — from building the foundational SOP architecture of a startup to stepping in as a fractional COO for an established trades business that has outgrown its current infrastructure. The through line in every engagement is the same: identify where the owner dependency is, build the systems that eliminate it, and develop the leadership capacity that makes those systems hold.

What separates Mike's approach from conventional operational consulting is the layer most consultants skip entirely — the internal work.

Most fractional COOs hand you a framework and leave. Mike recognized early in his career that the reason most operational frameworks fail isn't the framework — it's the identity of the person implementing it. A business owner who has spent years being the answer to every question doesn't stop being that person just because a new org chart says they should. The rewiring has to happen at a deeper level than a process document can reach.

That conviction is what led him to neuroscience.

Mike holds a Neuroscience Coaching Certification accredited by three internationally recognized bodies — ICAHP, IPHM, and CMA. This isn't a soft credential layered on top of operational work to make it sound more sophisticated. It is the scientific foundation for why NMM's systems actually stick. Understanding how the brain forms behavioral patterns, resists disruption, and rewires itself through targeted intervention changes the entire approach to operational change management. It means Mike doesn't just diagnose the system — he diagnoses the person running it.

He is also completing his NLP Practitioner certification, which adds precision to how he identifies communication breakdowns, surfaces limiting belief patterns, and guides business owners through the identity-level shift from reactive operator to intentional leader. And his Business Systems certification anchors the technical side of the work — ensuring that the internal transformation always connects to external, measurable operational outcomes.

Mike has applied these principles across industries and contexts — automotive, carpet cleaning, nonprofit, ministry, and beyond. He has built businesses that generated over $100,000 in their first 90 days. He has taken operations from a single employee to a fully staffed, multi-bay operation with 5x revenue growth in under a year. He has coached managers from the edge of failure to confident, productive leadership. And he has built the kind of operational infrastructure that allows founders to finally step back from the day-to-day without the whole thing falling apart.
